How it Works

Sign up and get in (before it’s full!)—

Because students join from all over the world, LIVE clubs fill up fast—so when you see a club you want to be a part of, be sure to save your spot right away. Clubs are individually priced based on number of weeks, length of class, learning materials provided, and Guide. Check out the specifics and ensure your spot…

Receive your information…

Within 48 hours of signing up, you’ll get an email with your Club’s details. Read it to get answers—and save the email, to be able to get to it easily…

Bookmark the link…

Bookmark the link, so you’re ready to go! Because the clubs use Zoom, be sure to get connected to Zoom, too. Download the app and try it out before the day of your first meeting…

Get the book…

Get the book from your own favorite source, or buy your book(s) directly from your Book Club pages. Older students, be sure to buy the book with enough time for it to arrive, to get out ahead and read the chapters before you meet…

Read before you meet…

Each week, you’ll read assigned chapters ahead of time. To get the most out of your Club time together, read and be ready! For your Club’s full reading schedule, see the bottom of your individual Book Club page…

Download your pages…

If your club has a supplies list for crafts (Young Readers), activity pages for during the Club time (older readers), or a handout to guide the discussion (older students), be sure to download and print the pages before you come to your Book Club…

Click into your LIVE Book Club…

At the Club’s meeting day and time, login at least fifteen minutes beforehand, to be sure everything’s working well. Only Club Members are allowed into your Club—so when you first click in, you’ll be sent to a waiting room while your Guide checks to make sure you’re on the Member List. Once checked, you’ll be let into the online room.

Parents of young children come, too…

If your child is between the ages of 3 and 8, an adult comes to the Book Club, too (it’s required!)… and if your student is 9 to 12, it’s recommended an adult is nearby, able to see and hear the Club discussions and activities. Teens, it’s up to you and your guiding adult at home as to whether you come alone or with a parent, grandparent, sibling, or friend.

During the Club…

This is a place of fun and respect for all while enjoying our time together—including following the Guide’s directions, “raising your hand” (using the icon, to be called on for speaking on the microphone), and showing value to all club members.

After the Club meetings…

If your Book Club meets more than once, be sure to prepare for the next time you’re together. The Club is also recorded; you’ll be sent a private link so that you can view the Club time later on, if you have to miss a meeting time or you want to view it again.
