Together\, we’ll complete the workbook How to be a Young #Writer—a fun\, skills-based book giving our Club a “writing class” feel\, to help writers become confident – AND\, along the way\, we’ll learn about exciting ways to use creative writing in the “real world”! \n\n\n\nThere are no prerequisites for this club (if your student has a love of writing and wants to learn more\, this club is just for you!). Together\, we’ll learn about the ins and outs of creativity and the writing process… then\, together in our Club time\, we’ll share the excitement and joy of our discoveries. You and your Literary Guide\, Ms. Schuett\, will have so much fun learning about writing and creativity! Come join us! \n\n\n\nWhat Makes this Club Special…\n\n\n\nIt’s a led by a writer! Coordinator for Physical\, Occupational and Speech Therapy clinics across the state of Nebraska. If a concerning topic comes up in the Writing Club (e.g.\, not age-appropriate ideas\, or topics containing PG-13 content such as violence)\, your Guide will immediately guide the topic away from the offending issue to appropriate ideas\, and parents will be notified appropriately. Some things that may be challenging for young readers: \n\n\n\nNatural Disaster: Laura and Almanzo face several natural disasters in the first four years of their marriage. Some things that may be challenging for young readers: \n\n\n\nNatural Disaster: Laura and Almanzo face several natural disasters in the first four years of their marriage. Their crops are destroyed by hailstorms and dry hot winds. Their home is burned down by a flash fire.Disease: Both Laura and Almanzo contract diphtheria.
