In Part 1\, “The Beginning\,” we worked through how to get started on writing a story. In Part 2\, “The Middle\,” we learned about how to create a story’s characters\, plot\, setting\, and dialogue. In this Club\, you’ll join Ms. Schuett to complete the the workbook\, Secrets of Storytelling: A Creative Workbook for Kids—which is all about finishing a fiction story. This fun\, skills-based club with “writing classes” helps your writer become confident – AND\, along the way\, we’ll learn about how stories in literature “work”! \n\n\n\nThere are no prerequisites for this club! Even if your student didn’t participate in Parts 1 and 2\, you are welcome to join in on Part 3\, “The End” – and revisit Parts 1 and 2 in the recorded Clubs. And even the writer of the workbook\, Ms. Natalie Rompella\, tells our young writers to use the workbook in any order that they’d like! \n\n\n\nIn the Secrets of Storytelling: A Creative Workbook for Kids Club\, each week\, you’ll follow the writing prompts\, learn how to think and write well\, practice putting your ideas to paper\, and then share the creativity together in Club. Coordinator for Physical\, Occupational and Speech Therapy clinics across the state of Nebraska.
